The United Shield Level III Lightweight Shield is a mobile high protection shield providing multi strike protection from standard Level III rounds 7.62 x 51 Nato Ball as well as the 7.62 x 39 123gr MSC AK47 and Multiple 5.56 x 45 rounds. Featuring a curved shape and constructed using a proprietary UHWMPE to achieve industry leading weight. Offered in several different shapes and sizes to support users requirements. Standard lightweight Level III shields come standard without viewport, but viewports are available. Features and Specifications Levels of Protection The shield is constructed from 100% UHMWPE and is rated to NIJ Level III. This unofficial level covers the traditional NIJ Level III performance for 6 strikes of 7.62 x 51mm NATO Ball US designation M80 Ball and also the widely recognized threat from AK47 MSC 7.62 x 39mm round, 5.56 x 45 55gr M193 and 5.56 x 45 62gr Federal Bonded LE223T3.
