Assos SsFf1jerseyEvo7 Jersey Mens

We first fell in love with Assos for the brand's shorts. We're not alone. Even the likes of LeMond have worn Assos' shorts clandestinely in professional races. But the SS. FF1Jerseyevo7 Jersey proves that Assos isn't just a shorts company. Hell, it proves Assos isn't just a cycling company. The jersey celebrates the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team, but it does so from a decidedly non motorized perspective. The SS. FF1Jerseyevo7 Jersey represents a new level of innovation in cycling tops, and not even Assos' SS. cento jersey pushed the boundaries this far. By combining an integrated skinFoil base layer, a proprietary new fabric, and an asymmetrical design ethos that only Assos could dream up, the SS. FF1 does to jerseys what the T. campionissimoS7 bibs did for cycling shorts completely revolutionize the game, and force every other manufacturer to up their game in order to stay relevant. The jersey's main material is Assos' own type. 002. No one's surprised to see a proprietary fabric on Assos' line topping jersey, but its stylish matte finish, compressive stretch, and incredibly soft touch are surprisingly at odds with each other. A seamless construction at the collar and sleeves multiplies the material's comfort factor exponentially, but you won't get to enjoy the type. 002 against your skin anywhere but at the sleeves and throat the jersey incorporates a built in skinFoil base layer around the torso. The skinFoil's textured material is actually softer than the type. 002 outer layer, and it's more effective at wicking moisture from your skin to keep you dry. Rather than a raglan style strip extending all the way to the collar, the new shoulder design involves a central panel that maps across the top part of the trapezius, tapers across the deltoid, and wraps around the bicep and the triceps. This panel provides firm support across the shoulders and upper arms while the rest of the paneling allows for a more forgiving stretch. The result is a blend of structural compression across the shoulder and arm muscles — which helps to reduce the gradual accumulation of fatigue from micro oscillations caused by road noise traveling up through the bars — without interfering with in saddle movement or restriction when stretched out in the drops. It's not simple or traditional, but that's the point it addresses the shortcomings of traditional designs. The sleeves themselves forgo tradition with a delightfully frivolous bit of asymmetry. We're not just talking about the different colors of the sleeves, either the SS. FF1's right non black sleeve is actually shorter than the black one. There's clearly no possible performance benefit to this design choice, but it definitely gives the jersey some unique flair. A rubber branding strip at the throat and Assos patches at the left shoulder and center pocket add a few more purely aesthetic elements to the jersey. While they may not affect the course of a ride, details like these do get us a little more jazzed about setting out on those mid week, after work training rides. The jersey is finished with the usual Assos touches branded zip pulls, three rear pockets, reflective detailing, and a fourth, zippered security pocket.
